Full Continuum of Care
Effective addiction treatment plans involve a full continuum of care, where clients have access to several levels of professional rehab and “step down” to less intensive levels of care as they recover. This allows medical teams to develop personalized treatment plans that meet each patient’s unique needs. Importantly, a planned continuum of care also avoids gaps in treatment where patients risk relapsing; without a support service or follow-up plan in place, relapse and overdose are more likely.
To ensure our clients have the greatest chance at success, The Recovery Village Atlanta offers a full continuum of care, including:
During medical detox, your body removes any drugs or alcohol in its system under medical supervision. Your medical team also treats any withdrawal symptoms that may occur during detox to make the process as comfortable as possible.
Also called residential treatment, inpatient rehab involves staying onsite at the facility for intensive, scheduled addiction treatment, including individual and group therapy, medical care, nutritious meals and recreational therapies.
A step down from inpatient care, the partial hospitalization program (PHP) offers more freedom and autonomy to patients while still receiving regular treatment programming and living onsite.
Clients in intensive outpatient care may continue to live onsite or start life at home, with several hours of treatment per week at the facility.
Clients in outpatient rehab live at home or in sober living housing while attending scheduled therapy and medical appointments. This prepares clients for life in recovery or helps those with less severe addictions keep commitments at work, school or home while receiving treatment.
Aftercare services set clients up for success in recovery with discharge instructions, follow-up appointments, an alumni network and additional therapy and recovery resources after leaving the facility.
Online therapy sessions with licensed therapists are available through Nobu, our mental wellness app to increase people’s access to life-saving care.
All levels of care also include dual diagnosis care for co-occurring mental health disorders like anxiety or depression and medication-assisted treatment for alcohol and opioid use disorders when medically appropriate.
Downtime is an important part of any residential or inpatient treatment program. These moments help clients reflect and practice the strategies they’ve learned in therapy. Having strong social relationships with peers in recovery and hobbies to pass time away from substances is vital to preventing relapse and enabling long-term recovery.
