Intensive Outpatient Treatment Program (IOP) in Atlanta, GA

What Is an Intensive Outpatient Program?

The intensive outpatient program (IOP) at The Recovery Village Atlanta helps clients transition to living in the community after living onsite at the facility. In an IOP, clients receive several hours of rehab therapies each week to address the emotional and mental impacts of addiction and co-occurring disorders.

Is intensive outpatient treatment right for me?

If these apply to you, attending our IOP could be the next step in your recovery.

  • I need more treatment hours than traditional outpatient rehab offers
  • I’m fully committed to my recovery and want to develop more skills
  • I’ve completed inpatient care or a PHP and want additional support
  • I’ve got a strong support system I can rely on at home

What to Expect In Our IOP

Many patients need more than an inpatient rehab stay to feel fully ready to enter life in recovery. Our IOP offers comprehensive daytime therapy so you can keep getting intensive support while living at home.

IOP patients attend at least nine hours of therapy per week. You’ll have medical appointments, one-on-one sessions with your therapist, and skills-based group therapy sessions that help you develop strategies for daily sober living.
